RETIRED FARMER DIES -- John Wesley White, 80, retired farmer, of Forest Grove, died August 22, in McMinnville. Services were held Wednesday, August 25, at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel of Macy and Son Funeral home, with Rev. S. James Osborne officiating.

A Missourian by birth, White was married in 1888 to Little Phillips, who is deceased. He was a member of the Methodist church.

He is survived by three sons, Earl T., Grants Pass OR, Dr. Byron A., McMinnville OR, and Orval D. White of Forest Grove OR; four sisters, Miss Lillie White, Ontario, CA; Mrs. Delila Britton, Mrs. Fanny Crawford and Mrs. Laura Riley of Ontario, CA.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
