Mrs. Seymour Norton, who died at Spafford, Onondaga county on June 30, at the age of 97 years was born in Potter county, Pa., in 1814. She is survived by four own children, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, all living in the state of New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Norton were married in 1837 in Potter county, Pa., and at once came to Cortland county, N. Y. In 1846 they removed to Spafford, where Mr. Norton died in 1901. Mrs. Norton survived her husband nine years, and closed a long and useful life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Perry F. Woodworth, who tenderly cared for her to the last. Her end was peaceful.
