11/29/1907- Tuttle Times:
Dennis C. Long was born 3/1/1868 in Appapoose county, Iowa and lived with his parents until he married Effie E. Turner at the age of 21. They had 5 children, all boys. Then on 3/5/1904, they moved to Yukon, OK and later came to Tuttle, I.T. and for 2 years have resided on Miss Williams farm south of town.
Mr Long leaves his wife, and children to mourn him. During his painfull illness of 7 days, everyone did what they could to relieve his suffering. An impressive funeral service was held at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. King. The remains were laid to rest in Fairview cemetery by the Odd Fellows of which organization he was a member.
