ABRAHAM P. W. JEFFS,................... Abraham Paul Webster Jeffs 334 east 6th south died at his residence Friday at 3:30 am after a lingering illness He was born Nov. 25, 1874 at Troy ,Kansas , the son of Abraham and Julia Phillips Jeffs , He came to Salt Lake City as a youth and resided here most of his life.
He married Mary Jane Buckley June 25,1808 in Salt Lake City.She Died April 27, 1944 .Mr Jeffs then married Myrtle Marguerite Smith in Salt Lake City Aug.12 1944 . A retired truck driver, Mr Jeffs was an Elder in the North Second Ward Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints , He was a former member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles and the Salt Lake Branch Utah State Old Age Pension and Assistance Organization
Surviving are his Widow , a daughter , and a son , Mrs. Orvin Drysdale , Boise , and Lawrence W. Jeffs , Salt Lake City , a sister Mrs Lyde Brown , Bell Gardens ,Cal.: Five grand-children and nine great-grand-children.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:45 pm at 260 E.South Temple where friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8pm and Monday from 10 am to time of services.Internment will be in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
