She married Dr Thomas Maxey McCall [sic], who was a dentist. They moved to Memphis, where Opal was active in all the women's social groups. She was president of the garden club from 1944 to 1945. She opened a dog kennel, raising and showing wire haired terriers for many years.
Opal was interested in music and could play any instrument.
