Scandia Minnie K Cardwell, 95, Scandia, died Saturday, June 10, 2006.
Mrs Cardwell was born Minnie K Wells on May 3, 1911, in rural Scandia. she was a retired postmaster for US Postal Service in Scandia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Todd Cardwell, in 1973; an infant daughter, Marva Jo; a son, Raymond V Cardwell; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, John A of Seneca and Kenneth V of Mulvane; a daughter, Janet R Melhus of Scandia; 18 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 pm Thursday at Amana Lutheran Church, Scandia. Burial will be in Prairie Rose Cemetery, rural Scandia.
Memorials may be made to Scandia library Building Fund or the church.
Visitation will be form 9 am to 9 pm today and Wednesday at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Funeral Home, 324 Kansas, Scandia 66966, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm Wednesday.
