Carl Lenz, lifelong resident of the county, died yesterday at the homestead farm in Liberty, now operated by his son, Norman. He had been an invalid for years.
He was born in Liberty in, and in married Miss Alvina Kattreh. She survives with three daughters. Helma, of Rockford. ILL., Mrs. Werner Kieselhorst of Liberty, Mrs. Marcus Neuser of this city; three sons, Carl. Jr., of Kiel, Edward of this city, Norman on the home farm; brother, August, of Newton; and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Berge funeral home in Valders and at 2 o'clock at the German Lutheran church in Liberty. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home from noon Saturday until the hour of the services
