Funeral services for Mr. Isaac "Ike" Domingue, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel here with burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Scott.
The Rev. Cedric Sonnier, pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, will conduct the services.
Musical selected will be provided by Charlotte Jopling, accompanied by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be Amazing Grace, I Will Never Forget You, Just A Closer Walk With Thee, The Old Rugged Cross and J'rai La Voir Un Jour.
Mr. Domingue, a native and lifelong resident of Scott, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 1999, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. A retired farmer, Mr. Domingue had been employed with the Lafayette Parish Police Jury for a number of years and was a School Crossing Guard at Leo Judice Elementary School for several years. He was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott.
Survivors include: his wife, Lurnice Lantier Domingue of Scott; three sons, Lee W. Domingue and his wife Macel of Duson, Harold L. Domingue and his wife Thelma of Scott and Allen D. Domingue of Scott; two daughters, Madeline Guilbeau and her husband Sidney of Vatican and Cynthia Smith and her husband Danny of Sunset; 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; a brother, Easton Domingue and his wife Eunice of Scott; and two sisters, Mrs. Jeanne Sonnier of Scott and Enola Lantier and her husband Antoine of Scott.
Mr. Domingue was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail D. Prejean; his first wife, Lena Richard Domingue; his parents, Romain Domingue and the former Euphemie Mouton both natives of Scott; four brothers, Paul Ludovic Domingue, Lee Joseph Domingue, Esta Domingue and Wilton Domingue; and two sisters, Anna Mae Domingue and Laura D. Comeaux.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons Dwayne Domingue, Chris Domingue, Randy Domingue, Tony Domingue, Marcus Guilbeau and J.A. Guilbeau. Honorary pallbearers will also be his grandsons, Nicholas Domingue, Shannon Domingue, Shane Guilbeau and Troy Prejean.
