Sam Wayland Dies at Home at Wild Cherry

Sam Wayland, well known and highly respected citizen of this section, died at his home at Wild Cherry, March 29, after several days illness. He was 55 years of age.

He was a life-long resident of Izard County and practically all his life was spent in the vicinity of Cross Roads, where he was born.

Funeral services being conducted by Rev D. R. Robertson of Mount Olive and Eld Carl Davis of Elizabeth.

Surviving, are his wife; three daughters, Grady Taylor, of Wild Cherry Mrs Retha Sexton and Mrs Dorothy Elliott of Indianapolis, Ind., and one son Orval Wayland of Wild Cherry. Three brothers survive.
