Murder Victim:
Nov. 23, 1986 seven year old little April was snatched from her bed in the late night hours. She was brutally raped and beaten to death. Found on Nov, 24, 1986 in a storage locker by Police just 2 doors down from her home. The murderer has not yet been found. The case is now being revisited by detectives. They believe that new technology may be able to solve this horrendous crime.
Police are also looking into another murder from 1990 in Reno, NV. which may be linked. The death of Monica Nicole DaSilva bears some remarkable similarities to that of April Marie Rhodes.
Update! Police said Monday they arrested a suspect in the 1986 kidnapping death of a 7-year-old girl whose body was found in a storage locker outside Las Vegas. Jasper Goodard was arrested in Missouri and was awaiting extradition to North Las Vegas to face charges in the slaying of April Marie Rhodes. DNA is shedding new light on Cold Cases.

Jasper Goddard was arrested June 13, 2013 in Missouri. Feb 18, 2014, Las Vegas, Nevada, District Attorney has confirmed, Jasper Goddard will be facing the Death Penalty. His trial is scheduled for May 11, 2015.
