He married Nancy Long in Fairfield County, Ohio on March 15, 1815. They had 7 children: Sarah (Gibson), Lavina (Smith), Catherine (Zinn), Elizabeth (Punches), Mary Ann (Hinton), Hannah (Jones) and Charles.
