From the Times-Mercury, Hickory, NC, 20 July,1910:

Death of Mrs. Dr. Baker

Died, at the home of Miss Mary Rosebrough, on the 13th of July, Mrs. Nannie Johnson Baker, aged 87 years.
She was the widow of the late Dr. R. B. Baker, who passed away November 6th 1906.
They came to Hickory in 1871, and no citizen of the town has ever been more loved and respected the "the dear old doctor" as his patients loved to call him. After 57 years of happy married life, he was taken at the ripe old age of 85, and she was left to linger a little longer. Their sons, John and Earl, died a few years before, and the only daughter, Mrs. B. R. Anderson, did not long survive her father.
Mrs. Baker was tenderly cared for in her tender years by her son-in-law, Mr. R. B. Anderson, and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Earl Baker.
She was a lovely woman and her any friends will miss her.
The funeral service was held in the Episcopal church, of which she had been a most devoted member, Rev. Mr. Barber officiating. The pall bearers were Messrs. J.A. Martin, J.F. Allen, C.C.Bost, W. B. Southerland, C. M. Shuford, and W. A. Hall.
Among those attending the funeral from out of town were Hon. John S. Henderson, of Salisbury, and Mrs. Edmund Jones of Lenoir."
