Harry Wright Earl was born 10 April 1863 to Jonathan and Jane Wright Earl, a twin to a sister named Harriet Wright Earl in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their parents were Jonathan Earl from Froyle Hampshire, England and Jane Wright of Rugely, Staffordshire, England, both pioneers to Utah.
Harry married Rachel Baddley 9 September 1886 and they had four children.
He spent most of his life in the 10th Ward where he was born.
He operated a grocery and feed and grain store at 450 S. 9th East.
He managed a mercantile store in Dillon, Montana, moving the family there by train.
After returning to Salt Lake City he worked for the W.J. Newman Co. and the Auerbach Company
They lived at 863 East 6th South with an acre of ground. They planted vegetables and had a cow and chickens.
A member of the school board, C.S. Martin, appointed him storekeeper of the Salt Lake City schools. Hetgook care of book binding and supplies for the schools.
He was active in the LDS church. He took the family hunting, fishing and camping.
He died at the age of 48 on March 30, 1911.
