He married Mary Haynes or Haines January 10, 1706 at Andover and their children were: John Jr., Mary, Susanna, Jonathan, Joseph, Benjamin, William, Abigail, Theodore, David, Samuel and Sarah. They settled in Killingly, Connecticut and later moved to Ashford, Connecticut. John died in his forty-ninth year July 26, 1733 at Windham, Windham County, Connecticut and was buried in the North Cemetery, Hampton, Windham County, Connecticut.
