Mary E. (Liza) Arrowood Ward, daughter of Bartley C. and Catherine Proffit Arrowood. She is the wife of Charles J. Ward who is the son of John T. Ward and Sarah Elizabeth Killian. John T. is a son of Charles J. Ward and Mary Elvira Henslee Ward. Charles J. is a son of John and Katy McDaniel Ward a family known as the Cherokee Ward family. Many of whom descendants went to the Cherokee Nation West in 1834. Charles J. and Mary had one daughter Jimmie May Ward born in Ellijay on May 6, 1890.
