Heart Attacks Take
Mother, Daughter

A few hours after assisting with funeral arrangements for her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Harding of Vincent died in a hospital here Saturday evening.
Her daughter, Mrs. Roxie Billie Wolf, 53, had died about noon Saturday, also in a local hospital.
Both deaths were due to heart attacks.

Joint funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Virgil Drewey, pastor of the Vincent Baptist Church, officiating. He will be assisted by Dr. P. D. O'Brien, First Baptist pastor.
Interment will be in the family plot in City Cemetery, where both Mr. Harding and Mr. Wolf are buried. River Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harding, 75, was at the River Funeral Home with other members of the family Saturday afternoon, making funeral arrangements for Mrs. Wolf. She returned home where she was stricken, was rushed to the hospital and died about 8:15 p.m.
Mrs. Harding, widow of S. J. Harding who died in 1916, had lived in the Vincent community for 50 years. She was born Oct. 2, 1881, in Johnson County.
Mrs. Wolf suffered a heart attack shortly before noon Saturday and also died a few minutes after reaching a hospital here. She was born in Coleman, but moved with her parents to Vincent when she was only three years old.
Shortly after she and the late Vernon Henry Wolf were married, they moved away, but returned in 1942, and she had made her home there ever since. Mr. Wolf died in 1950.
Both Mrs. Harding and Mrs. Wolf were leading members of the Vincent Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Harding are three daughters, Mrs. R. T. Shaffer, Vincent, Mrs. George Ashburn, Crane, and Mrs. Tollie Kennemer, Vincent; two sons, Pat Harding of Vincent and Jerry Harding of Iraan; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Smith, Colorado City, and Mrs. Roy Smith, Odessa; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wolf's survivors, in addition to her sisters and brothers, are two sons, Jack Wolf and Vernon Wolf, Vincent, and two grandchildren, Jackie and Steven Wolf, Vincent.
