"Carl Robert Meier, 34, native of Richmond who had lived in Goshen for the past six years died 05 May 1972 in the Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis where he had been a patient (for four days). He was the son of Mrs. Stella Meier of Richmond.
A veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1955 to 1959, he was employed by a boat company at Goshen.
Survivors include the widow, Cathleen of Ripon, WI; a daughter, Jeanne of NM; two sons, Billy of Ripon, WI, and John of NM; his mother, Mrs. Meier; two brothers, William of Los Angeles, CA. and James of Fort Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Marilyn Kinnear of Orrville, OH; and his grandmother, Mrs. Esther Horner of Bradford, OH. Burial was in Earlham Cem."
