Mary C. Weintraut, 85, Shelbyville, died Monday at her home.
Mrs. Weintraut was born Aug. 26, 1910, in Shelby County, the daughter of Adam and Susan (Stockinger) Roell. On Oct. 8, 1932, she married Ira J. Weintraut in Hamburg, Ind.
Mrs. Weintraut was a lifelong resident of Shelby County. She owned and operated Mary's Coffee Shop in Waldron for 10 years. She also worked at Admiral Corp. for 10 years.
Mrs. Weintraut was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church, St. Anne's Altar Society and the Waldron Fireman's Auxiliary.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. R. Keith (Pauline) Smith, Holton; Mrs. Carl (Irene) Adams, St. Paul; Mrs. Larry (Judith) Shafer, Elkhart; Mrs. Charlie (Dianna) Robertson, Columbus; and Ruth Logan, Adams; sons, Ralph Weintraut, Greensburg; and Raymond Weintraut, Waldron; two sisters, Martha Headlee and Mrs. Harold (Gertrude) Nickles, both of Shelbyville; 35 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Vincent Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Dede officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.
