Dick loved acting, he began performing at age 8 when he sang at a Glendale radio station. He served in the US Army as an Artillery Tec 5, at the Alaska Command during World War II. After his service time he received a degee and teaching credentials from USC. For the next 27 years he was a teacher for the El Monte School District, California. He was also a drama instructor for the El Monte Recreation Department. Dick performed and appeared on stage at the original Gallery Theatre in Ontario, Griswolds Old School Stage House, Circle N Theatre and Place Theatre in Claremont. He was an honorary 30 year member of the Claremont Church of Religious Science. His hobbies included gardening, spectator sports and bodysurfing. He is survived by 2 sons, 4 daughters, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
