Opal Elliott Davis, age 81, passed away January 17, 2002 at her home in Montgomery, Alabama. Graveside services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. at Oakhill Cemetery in Moundville. Visitation is tonight from 6 til 8 at Oakhill Funeral Home. Oakhill Funeral Home directing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Earline Neighbors and Charles David Elliott, brother, Charles D. Elliott, Jr., and sisters, Imogene Elliott, Mary E. Rushing, Evelyn E. Davis, Annie Lou E. Seale, Mable E. Wiggins and Dorothy E. Lewis.

She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick W. Davis, Jr., two step-children, Patrick W. Davis III and Sandra Carroll, sister, Kathyrn E. Barksdale, Tuscaloosa; sister in law, Thelma Elliott, Moundville; brother in laws, Eugene Lewis, Moundville; and Jessie Wiggins; Tuscaloosa. She is also survived by 14 nephews, 5 nieces along with a host of great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful and loving wife, sister, aunt and "mother" to those in her family. She leaves many special friends in Montgomery and Moundville. Opal was born and raised in Moundville, Alabama. She worked for Moundville Motors for many years. Later she worked in Greensboro where she retired from U.S.D.A.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
