Death Claims L. Key Albea

L. Key Albea, 75, died Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Greensboro where he had been making his home for the past six years. A former Harmony resident, he was an Iredell County native and son of the late J. William and Mary Laura Cranfill Albea.

His wife, Jenny Elizabeth Stroud Albea, died in 1961. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Maiden of Harmony and Mrs. Daisy Kennedy of Troutman; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. W. E. Pope in charge. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery with Harmony Masonic Lodge in charge of graveside services.

The body will remain at the funeral home until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel tonight from 7 o’clock until 9 o’clock.
