HANCOCK — Jackson D. Hendershot, 84, of Rt. 1, Hancock died Wednesday afternoon at his home.
Born in Buck Valley, Pa., he was the son of Alfred and Catherine Scriever Hendershot. He was the husband of Rhoda Ellen Ray Hendershot.
He was a member of the Buck Valley Christian Church, and a retired carpenter and farmer.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Hull of Hancock and Mrs. Pearl Creek of Mifflin, Pa.; two sons, Elmer Hendershot and Louis Hendershot, both of Hancock; one sister, Mrs. Estella Dingley of Little Orleans; 28 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Grove Funeral Home in Hancock.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Doll officiating. Burial will be in the Buck Valley Christian Cemetery.
