Willie Jean Potter, 70, a resident of Darien, GA passed away Sunday July 24, 2011 at Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday July 28, 2011 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor James W. Griffin, Sr. and Pastor Andy Young, Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery where a graveside memorial service will be officiated by the Reverend Steve Corley. Serving active pallbearers will be Adam Cothren, Jonathan Collins, Jeremy Cox, Alvin Young, Derrick Rowe, and Andy "Bubba" Young, Jr.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening July 27, 2011 from 6 pm. - 8 pm. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

A beloved wife, mother and Christian, Mrs. Potter was born in Nicholls, GA on October 13, 1940 to the late Willie Kathleen Cannon and the late Ernest Eugene Bagley. She moved to Darien in 1975, and was an active member of Darien Church of God of Prophecy and enjoyed studying her Bible and worshipping the Lord.

Mrs. Potter was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Calvin S Potter, Sr. as well as her son, Calvin S Potter, Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Corley (Steve) and her brother Ernest Eugene Bagley, Jr. (Jo), all of Savannah and her brother Larry Lanier Bagley of Brunswick, her daughters, Tina Maria Potter and Sherri D. Collins (Max), both of Darien, her grandchildren, Amanda N. Potter of Brunswick, Krystle A. Cox (Jeremy) and Jonathan A. Collins of Darien and Dustin Maddox Potter of Brantley County and Colby Cruz Potter (Amber) of Louisiana. Mrs. Potter is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
