Perry F. Bird, aged 83 years, 8 months, 29 days, died at 6 A.M. April 1, 1937, at the home of his brother, A. L. Bird, with whom he has resided since the death of his sister, Miss Ida P. Bird, who had been his housekeeper for many years. Mr. Bird was widely known in this community. He was born in Addison township and was a son of the late Basil and Catherine A. Bird, pioneer residents of this county. Mr. Bird engaged in farming and stock raising for many years, on the farm where he was born. About thirty years ago he moved to Confluence. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, four sisters and two brothers, and is survived by one brother, Andrew L. Bird, and three sisters, Mrs. Fred Yeagley, Mrs. P. V. Nedrow of Confluence and Mrs. Mary Lamb, of Tarentum, Pa. Mr. Bird never married. Funeral services were held at the home of his brother, Andrew, Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock, Rev. Kees, pastor of the M.E. Church, of which Mr. Bird was a member, officiating. Burial was in Addison Cemetery. [source not noted]
