1. 1850 Lincoln Co, KY census -- he is listed as J. E. Dye, 7 year old male born in Kentucky.
(NOTE: According to 1850-1870 Lincoln County, Kentucky census, John would have been born about 1843. Believe he was either born in Pulaski Co. or Lincoln Co., KY.)
2. USGenWeb Kentucky-Lincoln County shows a John Dye 1840-1930; h/o Lyda Dye with dbl. tombstone picture buried in Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery.
3. FamilySearch Kentucky Death Record 1911-1955 show a John Dye, male; s/o Ples. Dye & Miss Taylor; died 1930 in Stanford, Lincoln County, Kentucky; Certificate #31266.
4. 1880-1930 Lincoln Co., KY census show 5 children-Pleasant, Addie, William, Ella, & (Henry?).
