She was the daughter of John Benninghove and Elizabeth McLaughlin. She married Edward Cyril Roberts (b. Nov. 22, 1904 Philadelphia - d. June 5, 1995 in Santa Cruz, Ca. ashes buried at sea) son of Joseph Roberts and Jenne D'Aras. She played the piano. They had the following known children: Marjorie Roberts, "Betty" Elizabeth Jean Roberts, and Ruth Marion Roberts. She attended Germantown High School until about the 8th or 9th grade. She met Edward at John M. Maris Drug Supply Company on Arch Street when she worked there as a "marker on the glassware". She later worked at John Wanamaker's department store in the center of Philadelphia and once had to turn down Bill Cosby for a credit card account. Lived at 4421 Dexter St. in 1940 then 311 S. Hicks St. until her retirement. Then she moved to her daughter Marjorie's home.

Dauther Ruth Marion Roberts married William Henry Fox (b. Oct. 10, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pa.) on June 20, 1947. He was the son of Lawrence Fox and Clara Campbell. He was in the Navy during World War II and worked in the Philadelphia Navy Yard for thirty years. They had Barbara Ann and Wendy Claudia Fox.

Barbara Ann Fox married Patrick Joseph Feracco. He was the son of Pasquale Feracco and Christine Bari. She was a teacher with a degree from Temple University. Children include: Heather Michelle and Lindsay Kathryn.

Wendy Claudia Fox married Corey Jones. She was a teacher with a degree from Temple University. Children include: Ian Michael and Dana Michelle.
