Virginia Crow Long, 85, of Waco, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011, at home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 25, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Virginia was born on September 23, 1925, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Jeff Brim Crow and Mary Simonton Crow. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Jeff Brim Jr., Trammell Crow, Davis Crow and his wife, Cele, Stuart Crow and his wife, Helen, and Howard Crow; and sisters, Helen Crow Renkin and her husband, Robert, and Kathleen Crow.
Survivors include her husband, L. D. "Dick" Long, of Waco; sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Crow, of Dallas; stepchildren, Dennis Long and his wife, Julia, and Nanci Long; step-grandchildren, Daniel Long and his wife, Corrie, Began Beatty and her husband, Bryce; step-great-grandson, Drake Beatty; and many nieces and nephews.
