A. C. 'CHARLIE' MOORE
FRANKLIN -- A. C. "Charlie" Moore, 76, of Highlands Road, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, in a Sylva hospital.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Will and Florence Pruitt Moore. He was a retired supervisor in tunnel construction and an Army World War II veteran, who served in American, European, African and Asiatic Pacific Theaters. He received two bronze stars. He was a member of Glenville Masonic Lodge #651 and a member of Sugarfork Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bryson Moore, who died in 1988.
He is survived by his daughters and their families, Karen and Michael Ramsay of Franklin, Linda and Arlie Moss of Cullowhee; sister, Christine Brown, of Greenville, S.C., grandchildren, Arlene and Steve Rice of Sylva, Rosa Marie Ramsey and Michael Ramsey II of Franklin, a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Sugarfork Baptist Church with Revs. Steve Reeves and Jim Steed officiating. Burial will be in Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home.
Franklin V.F.W. and American Legion will conduct military graveside rites.
