Johann Adam Hoffman was the son of Johann Adam and Anna Barbara Sprenkel Hoffman. 1756 John Adam Hoffman, orphan son age 14 of Henry Hoffman, deceased, chose Leonard Holstone as guardian. He married Maria Barbara Kaffroth in about 1764 and they had the following children:

Johann Adam went by "Adam" and was a farmer.
In 1780, Adam was taxed for 150 acres, and by 1783 he was taxed for 250 acres.
