Mr. Brones, who was 75 years old, died on June 2. Funeral services were held June 6 at St. Stephen of the Valley Lutheran Church in Palmdale. On June 7, funeral services for Mr. Brones were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Forest City. Burial was in the Leland cemetery.
His first wife, the former Dorothy Larson, died in 1963. On April 24, 1983, he was married to Martha Loen, who survives him.
He is also survived by three daughters, Judy Rudisel of Missouri, Joan Merical of Montezuma and Susan Brones of Grinnell; three stepsons and one stepdaughter, residing in California; two brothers, Lloyd Brones of Palmdale,,Calif, and James Brones of Forest City; and three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor McConkey of Des Moines, Mrs. Stella Irish of Clear Lake and Mrs. Helen Solberg of Thompson.
