Services for Loyd Griggs, 70, of Lufkin, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Earl Calloway and Rev. Phillip Pate officiating with burial in Glendale Cemetery.
Born in Trinity Co., Mr. Griggs resided in Lufkin most of his life. He was a retired construction worker from Brown & Root where he worked for 20 years. He was a member of the Davisville Baptist Church.
Survivors include:
* Son, Sammie Griggs of Lufkin
* Daughters, Marie Ford, Trevelyan Luce, both of Lufkin
* Mother, Maude of Lufkin
* Brothers, James R. Griggs, William D. Griggs and Doial H. Griggs, all of Lufkin
* Grandchildren, Ricky, Christy and Trisha Griggs; Rusty Ford, Gerald Ford, Kevin Luce, Renee Ford and Evan Luce
