Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Belden, whose death was reported last week, were held at the Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. William Blankley officiating. The burial was in Hope Cemetery, where her husband, son, and mother are buried. She was born at Corning, N.Y., on February 25, 1839, and came to Castile when 18 years of age. She married George C. Belden of this place, and for 55 year they lived here. Mr. Belden, who was a Civil War veteran, died in 1903. She lived in Pennsylvania for about four years, but returned to Castile and purchased a home on Jefferson Street, where she lived until her death. For 72 years she had been a member of the Castile Baptist Church. Surviving are: a nephew, Andrew Button, who live with her; two nieces and a grand-niece --- Mrs. William Brown of Addison, Miss Fora Bixby of Warsaw and Mrs. Carl Peterson of Corning.
