TREMONT--(PNS)--The funeral of John Charles Alexander, 90, who died Tuesday, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Davis Mortuary, Tremont, the Rev. R. G. Marks officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Tremont.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Mr. Alexander had resided at the Hopedale House for the past four years.

He was born Nov. 26, 1882, in Dillon Township, a son of Robert and Rachael Kemper Alexander. He married Evaline McQueen June 4, 1904, at Tremont. She died in April, 1969.

Surviving are three sons, Howard, Fondulac, Wis.; Charles, 127 N. Adelaide, Normal; Leslie, Dallas, Tex; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

A daughter and two brothers also preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to the Tremont United Methodist Church of which he was a member.

Mr. Alexander was one of the first rural mail carriers to work out of the Tremont Post Office, retiring in 1934.
