It is not known when and where Sarah died and was buried. She married Martin Kirtland on March 16, 1758 at Saybrook, Conn. After the death of her husband, she and her son, Martin, Jr. were appointed the administrators of her husband's estate in June 1782, in Saybrook, Conn. where they lived. Her parents were Deacon Josiah Meigs and Mary Hand of Guilford, New Haven County, Conn.
