Died Tuesday, April 16, 1991, at 2 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 55, a native of Amite and a resident of Walker. Religious services were held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Merelin McCon. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by husband, Frederick Lee Beard, Walker; two sons, Bruce Beard, Albany, and Kevin Beard, Colyell; two sisters, Evelyn Lee, Chesbrough, and Bessie Knight, Pine;and six grandchildren. Preceded in death by three sisters, Vida Schaffer, Althea Guidroz and Vera Sullivan; and four brothers, Early, Edgar, Gordon and Shelby Stokes.
