Goldie Ellen was born to John Bazil & Mary Etta (Wood) Nelson.

She married James Gilbert Courtney February 3, 1923 in Okmulgee Co. OK, and he died May 3, 1971.

She had seven children, Leola Margaret who married Elden C. Hardwick, Juanita Faye (called Faye), Robert Nelson, Jack Ray, Nancy Jane who married Victor H. Harp, Charles Arthur (Chuck), & Larry Gene (called Gene).

Grandchildren: Nancy Ellen (Hardwick) who married Roger W. Howell, Mark Allen Harp, James Michael Harp (Mike), Rodney Wayne Harp, Mischelle Lee Courtney, Joanna Faye Courtney, Debbie Jean Courtney, & Matthew Jonathan Courtney.

She had nine great-grandchildren.

Her half-siblings were George Allen, Sherman, and Lloyd John Nelson, Wynema Belle (Nema) Tate and Betty Jean (Ruby) Egbert.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church. She was a great Mother, Grandmother, & Great Grandmother. She will be missed by all of us.
