Born Dec. 24, 1907, in Clarkesville,
Ga., she was the daughter of
Tom and Callie Ledford Burrell.
Her marriage was on March 29,
1931, to James Tate Simmons, who
died June 5,1985.
She had lived in Burlington since
1977.
Surviving are two daughters,
Christina Schnieb and Ellene
Davis both of Burlington; one
sister, Cleo Phillips of Gainesville,
Ga.; seven grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren. One brother,
one sister, and one son preceded
her in death.
Services will be Thursday at 3
p.m. at Neptune Funeral Home
with Ken Byland officiating. Burial
will be in South Union Cemetery,
Howard County. Friends may call
from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral
home.
