Gail Pettis Montgomery-Our beloved Gail Pettis Montgomery, born on July 24, 1952 has finished her journey. On July 23, 2011 she went home to be with Jesus and her one true love, Charlie Montgomery. She was greatly loved and will be truly missed. She was a 20 year employee of Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Montgomery. She is survived by her parents, Claude and Yvonne Pettis; brother, Mitch (Debra) Pettis; sister, Kay (Bob) Moffett; one devoted niece, Jennifer (Thomas) Moffett Dubose; five nephews, Matthew (Danielle) Moffett, Kevin Moffett, Justin (Lauren) Pettis, Joey (Stephanie) Pettis, an Chris (Mattie) Stringer; five great-nieces, Haleigh Dubose, Morgan Dubose, Lily Dubose, Alina Moffett, Kinsley Pettis, and Kenadie Stringer; and three great-nephews, Hunter Dubose, Zack Stringer, and Hunter Stringer. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, July 25, 2011 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society . Special thanks to Dr. William Roy, Dr. Brian Heller, and Southern Cancer Center for all their care. Also thanks to the loving nurses on 12 E and 12 N at Providence Hospital, and to Odyssey Hospice for all their kindness and support. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com
