He was named for the Congregationalist Missionary, Adoniram Judson, became a Presbyterian minister serving several congregations in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. He also authored the lyrics to four hymns and wrote two books.

Retired Minister Dies in Florid; Rev. A. Judson Arrick, 82, retired Presbyterian minister, died early Sunday morning at St. Petersburg. Fla where he was spending the winter. He had re sided at 612 Northridge drive, West Lafayette, since he retired in 1936.

Born in White County, he at tended Wabash college and McCormick Theological seminary in Chicago. December 30, 1891, he was married to Mattie Snider, who died May 29, 1944. He served in the ministry 50 years in churches at Hartford City, Kendallville, Dayton, Hamilton, O., Oleda, 111., and Delta, O.

Recently he published a book in rhythmical form "The Tragedy of Saul of Tarsus."

Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. L. W. Thomas of West Lafayette and a brother, Carmi Arrick of Monticello. Body will arrive Wednesday and will be at the Rogers and Henderson funeral home after noon for services there at 10 a. m.
