Mrs. Kate Watson Dies, Is Report
Pioneer of Lewisville Section Passes Away in San Mateo, Calif.
Word was received here Monday of the death in San Mateo, Calif., Friday of Mrs. Kate Watson, wife of the late Robert Watson, a pioneer settler of the Lewisville district. Mrs. Watson, who was 57 years of age, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Pulse, with whom she had been residing a large part of the time since the death of her husband four years ago.
Death, according to information received by the Wood mortuary here, resulted from complications which followed a leg fracture suffered several months ago.
The deceased's body will arrive here for burial Wednesday night. It will lie in state Thursday and Friday at the Wood funeral and will be buried after funeral services Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Second Ward L. D. S. chapel. Bishop Jesse H. Nielsen officiating.
Well Known Here
Mrs. Watson was well known both here and in the Lewisville section. She had resided in the upper valley nearly all her life, having come to Idaho with her parents in 1878.
She is survived by nine children, Mrs. Pulse and Ralph M. Watson of San Mateo, Mrs. William Youngstrom and Mrs. William Hunting of Menan, D. E. Watson and Mrs. H. W. Summers of Powers, Ore., G. R. Watson, Westwood, Calif., W. D. Watson, Eden, Idaho and Mrs. J. F. Lufkin of Annis.
Thirty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also mourn her death.
