NEDERLAND -Roy J. McBride, Sr., 78, of Nederland died Sunday at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.
A native of Port Arthur and lifelong area resident, he retired as an insulator from Texaco Inc., was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 493 of Nederland.
Services will be at 10 .m. Tuesday in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home chapel in Port Arthur, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A wake will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.
Survivors include one son, Roy J. McBride, Jr.; a daughter, Phyllis R. McBride of Houston; two brothers, Gene Wyble of Groves and Jimmy Wyble of Glendale, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
