Cecil Ray Beech

PICAYUNE — Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church for Cecil Ray Beech, 78, of Sycamore Community, who passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at his residence.
Burial will be in Sycamore Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Kenny Mitchell will officiate at the service, assisted by the Rev. Paul Thigpen.
A native of Pearl River County, he was a Contractor and a member of Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church. Cecil was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was a former teacher at Picayune and Poplarville High Schools. Cecil held many positions in the church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, James Robert Beech and Jessie Eileen Craddock Beech; and brothers and sisters, Paul Beech, Hazel Livingston, Mae Pearl Grady, Doug Beech, and Bobbie Stockstill.
Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Lucy Wade Beech of Sycamore Community; his children, Kenneth Beech, Ray Beech, Neal Beech and wife Lisa, Gail McCraney and husband Chris, Ryan Beech and wife Patty of Byram, Miss., Mark Pearson and wife Susan of Ozark, Ala., Shelia Pittman, and Wendell Pearson and wife Charlotte; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Vernell Beech, Willie Beech, Boyd Beech and David Beech.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association.
