23 May 1816, married Hannah (Graves) Wilson (her second marriage) according to the Burt Family Bible. They had several children but only one daughter that lived beyond infancy : Louisa Matilda Burt. Louisa was my great great grandmother.
He and Hannah lived in the Havana, Catharine, Montour Falls area for most of his adult life, working as a farmer. I have located him in "Catharine" in the 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, and 1860 Federal Census.
The NY gen Web site "Funeral Book Records, Havana NY" lists his death and burial in the same plot location as his wife Hannah, daughter Louisa (at the time Louisa Purple), and Louisa's son Fred Purple.
His grave was moved from the "original" Montour Cemetery location.
