R/B singer, choreographer. Original member of the "Temptations". Born in Birmingham, Alabama. Paul along with Eddie Kendrick formed their own group, The Primes. Without a contract, they joined Otis Williams of the Elgins. In 1961, the name changed to The Temptations. Paul was the original choreographer, he sang lead on, No More Water In The Well and Don't Look Back, best known for his live performance, "For Once In My Life". Paul's health and performance began declining; in 1971 he left the group. The Temptations were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame January 1989.
