                      IN MEMORIAM.

      The following preamble and resolutions were passed at the last meeting of Hope Lodge, of Brainerd, Sept. 17th, 1878:
      WHEREAS: through the providence of God our worthy sister, Mrs. M. D. Ford, has been removed from us by death, after a long and painful illness. And,
      WHEREAS: we as brothers and sisters deeply deplore her loss and absence.
      Resolved: That we tender our heartfelt sympathy to her bereaved family, in this hour of affliction, knowing that a crown of glory is better than an earthly heritage.
      Resolved: That while they mourn the loss of a loving wife and fond mother, we as brothers and sisters sincerely regret the loss of a sister who was ever faithful to her duty, not only in the temperance cause, but in the cause of Christ.
      Resolved: That a copy of the above be sent to the Brainerd TRIBUNE for publications.
