Carol was the second of three children, Paul Ray, Judith Carol and Shelly Lea, born to Norman Ray Mayfield and Norma Carol Edwards. She spent her early years in Boyd, Texas, later moving to Fredericksburg with her family, where she graduated high school in 1974.
Carol was married to Larry Johnson. They were the parents of two boys, Wayne and Joshua Ray. She also was mother to a stepson Christopher. Carol loved her family, but especially her grandchildren, Cheyene and Casey Johnson. They were the light of her life. One other thing Carol especially loved to do was to go out on a boat.
Carol was affiliated with Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville. She will be very much missed by her family, but she is at peace from the sufferings of this world.
