Dora Belle Hodge Ross was born to Erastus Phelps Hodge and Arissa A Sanders 4 Sep 1880. After marriage to Merritt Edward Ross they settled in Bay City, Michigan and she became pregnant. Sadly the family received a telegram saying Dora and her newborn baby had both passed away. Dora was a sweet person much loved by her family. Her cousin, Rev Ellsworth A. Allen, wrote a poem about her death. Her body was buried in the Hodge section of the Cemetery.
