EAST LIVERPOOL - Vivian W. Russell, 88 of St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio died on July 21, 2011 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in East Liverpool on Oct. 30, 1922 and was a daughter of the late Bernard and Ruth (Nelson) Fickle.
Living in this area her entire life, she worked at Hall China as a ware selector and was a graduate of East Liverpool High School. Mrs. Russell was Past President and Past Chaplain of the American Legion Post 374 Auxiliary, Past Chaplain of 40 & 8 and a member of the High Noon Bowling League.
Her husband, Paul W. Russell, whom she married on May 24, 1941, died in 1987.
She is survived by Michael Russell and his wife Carol of East Liverpool; a daughter: Cherri Lane and her husband Pepper of East Liverpool; a brother: Bernard Fickle of East Liverpool; a sister in law: Margie Fickle; five grandchildren: Sean Russell, Rob & Tab Lane, Danny & Vicki Russell, Barry Lane & Kim and Jill and Chad Czech; seventeen great grandchildren: Casey & Ben Roberts, Christen Butler, Mandy Borsodi, Alan Russell, Ashley Russell, Heather Russell, Paul Russell, Joey Newlin, Dustin Lane, Alyssa Lane, Dylan Czech, Brady Lane, Gabrielle Collins, Amber Sonntog, Cameron Lane, McKenzie Lane and Tanner Minor as well as three great great grandchildren: Ryan Roberts, Blake Roberts and Brandon Russell.
Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers: Byron and Jack Fickle as well as one sister: Luvadell Glenn.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Schneidmiller of Grace Bible Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
