"Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith, age 86 of Coleman, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 12:52 A. M. at Holiday Hill Nursing Home in Coleman.

"Ethel was born December 4, 1923 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Charlie R. Bethany & Maude Belle Archer. She Married William Plezz Smith on August 31, 1944 in Coleman, they celebrated 55 years together. Ethel was a Housewife, and a Baptist.

"Survivors include; 5 daughters: Joni Mae Vilhauer of Central America, Dona Karen Freeman of Belleville, Illinois, Jeanne Turney of Sparta, Missouri, Penni Fulbright of Voss, and Roxie Beaty of Buffalo Gap, 4 sons: Richard "Butch" Smith of Grants Pass, Oregon, Steve Smith of Shields, Larry Smith of Coleman, William Smith of Sacramento, California, 2 sisters; Mary Fulbright of Edgewood, and Bill Smith of Wills Point, 27 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her loving husband Plezz, her parents, 1 son; Robert Plezz Smith, 2 grandchildren; Elizabeth and Bradley.

"Visitations will be Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 6:00 until 7:00 P. M. and again on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 10:00 until 11:00 A. M. at Walker Funeral Home. Service will be Friday October 29, 2010 at 1:00 P. M. at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Don Northway officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Walker Funeral Home."
