Catherine Goodman was born Aug 26, 1804 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA to George and Catherine Goodman. She married Samuel Long on Oct 29, 1822 in Newburg, Cumberland, PA. They were the parents of 10 children, Sarah Jane Meyers, Samuel, William, Benjamin Franklin, Joseph, Catherine Ostrander, Simon, John, David Burton and Elizabeth Stark. She moved with her husband to Ohio in 1833 before settling in Lorain County, OH about 1844. She died Mar 21, 1888 in Penfield Junction, Lorain, OH at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 6 days.
